Success of the exhibition “Spanish artists in Doha” – On January 20, organized by Art & Culture without Borders with the collaboration of the Embassy of Spain in Qatar and the sponsorship of Qatar Airways and the Mondrian Hotel, the exhibition was inaugurated “Spanish artists in Doha” at Katara Cultural Village.

A spectacular space conceived to host all the cultural events of the country that has become a reality thanks to His Highness Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Father Emir of the State of Qatar.

The Spanish artists invited to participate in this first initiative of the Art & Culture without Borders Foundation are La Chunga, Blanca Cuesta, Kico Camacho, Isabel Valdecasas, Tomas Baletzena, María Acuyo, Aixa Portero, Jose Gabaldon, Encarnación Hitos, Romy Querol, Viky García, Adela Castillo, Genoveva Hita and María Teresa Ibañez. The project is a group exhibition with the aim of raising awareness among art lovers and collectors in the State of Qatar.

“Art & Culture without Borders is a Spanish foundation whose mission is the celebration of our common humanity through art and culture as a link between peoples, art being considered a universal language.”

Previously, they have carried out several painting workshops with children in Morocco and with women saved from trafficking and sexual exploitation in collaboration with the Apramp Foundation.

Among the many attendees was HRH Princess Beatrice of Orleans, honorary president of the foundation, the ambassador of Spain in Qatar, Her Excellency Belen Alfaro, the general director of Katara Cultural Village Dr. Khaled Al-Sulaiti, Soumaya Akbib, president of the foundation, the ambassador of France His Excellency Mr. Frank Gellet and the ambassadors of Peru, San Salvador, Tanzania, Mexico and the Central African Republic.

The exhibition will be open to the public until February 13.
